Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with a service-based company that has a strong presence in India and international markets.

Core Responsibilities Snapshot

Revenue & Billing Governance
  • Ensure accurate SoW mapping and billing validation
  • Oversee client invoicing, PO tracking, and dispute resolution
  • Manage revenue recognition and DSO control

Cash Flow & Working Capital
  • Prepare rolling cash flow projections aligned with budgets
  • Align collections, payroll, vendor payments, and credit terms.
  • Monitor liquidity and optimize working capital cycles.

Client-Wise P&L & Cost Control
  • Drive accurate cost allocation and profitability analysis.
  • Monitor manpower deployment and margin performance.
  • Conduct variance analysis vs budget and bid assumptions.

Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead annual budgeting and maintain 24-month rolling projections.
  • Update forecasts based on revenue ramp-up and cost movements.
  • Reconcile projections with cash flow modelling.

Bid Costing & Commercial Support
  • Develop financial models for new bids and scope expansions.
  • Conduct fixed vs variable cost diligence.
  • Assess margin sustainability and working capital impact.

Treasury & Banking
  • Manage banking relationships and foreign remittances.
  • Monitor forex exposure and FEMA compliance.
  • Optimize deployment of surplus funds.

Client & Leadership Interface
  • Participate in client meetings for billing reviews and variance discussions.
  • Support Board pack preparation with structured financial insights.
  • Provide executive-ready financial presentations.

Governance & Compliance
  • Support compliance aligned with:
  • U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulatory environment
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of India standards
  • Central Board of Direct Taxes regulations

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • CA / CPA / CMA (CA preferred)
  • Total Experience: 6–7 years
  • Minimum 2 years in Controller-level or independent finance leadership role
  • Experience in consulting / service-based organization
  • Experience dealing with foreign (preferably US-based) clients
  • Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modelling
  • Experience participating in system implementation initiatives preferred
